The approach

From control to connected automation.

A practical Horner architecture, built up in three steps — so you only pay for what the machine needs today.

01 · Control

Horner PLC + HMI

  • Reliable local machine control
  • Machine sequence and interlocks
  • Operator screens and alarms
  • Integrated PLC + HMI approach
  • Built-in or expandable I/O

02 · Data

Industrial communication

  • Modbus / Ethernet / CAN
  • Device status and process values
  • Trends, diagnostics and history
  • Drives, instruments and field devices
  • Scalable local or distributed I/O

03 · Connect

OCS360 + OCS360 Remote

  • Real-time monitoring
  • Cloud dashboards and historical data
  • Alarms, events and trends
  • Remote programming and debugging
  • Secure remote access to connected OCS devices

Control → Data → Remote visibility → Continuous improvement

Low starting cost

Integrated PLC + HMI reduces separate hardware, wiring and panel space — creating a lower initial system cost.

Cost-effective expansion

Start with the I/O and communications you need, then expand with modular I/O as the machine or process grows.

Lauer alarm annunciator replaced with a Horner XL6

A legacy Lauer annunciator replaced with a Horner XL6 operator panel while the existing Siemens S5 and its alarm logic stay in place — read through the S5's 8-bit alarm output, with alarm text, acknowledge, reset and history on screen. Now extending to speed, run/ready/fault status and current on 14 DC drives, with factory MES integration to follow.
